If you think that it’s difficult to meet somebody in your 20s, try doing it as an elder. All of the regular ways of meeting someone single like checking out people at concerts or clubs, going to bars, enjoying recreational groups to go hiking in the forest – are off-limits to elders. These activities can be too noisy, too fast, or too exhausting. And most importantly, other elders are not going to these kinds of events! The Web provides many possible solutions to the problems of senior dating, but senior citizens are slow to take up advanced electronic communication. However, they are finally catching up. Senior citizen dating is taking off the way the Web singles dating scene did a decade ago.
Internet dating is ideal for many seniors. After all, senior citizens are often limited in their mobility. Even when they aren’t, they are less likely to want to go out and cruise. Among the elderly, word-of-mouth spreads pretty fast, and before senior dating comes into its own, it will only be a matter of time.
